With that said, lets look at how to move your blog from Wordpress to Blogger. Its a 3 step process.

Export your existing Wordpress blog 

1) Login to your Wordpress Dashboard
2) Go to Tools > Export > Select All > Click on Download or Export. You should get a prompt to download or file is downloaded automatically depending on what browser you are using.

The URL structure of Posts, Pages, Images and all content is different for Wordpress and Blogger. We would have to modify the Image URLs to make sure that all the images are intact when you import the blog into Blogger. 

If you just move your blog from wordpress to blogger without modifying the Image URLs, the images will not display in any posts or pages after you import into Blogger. Follow below steps to modify the exported .XML file.

Modify Image URLs

1) Download the contents of wp-content/uploads. Download the entire folder retaining the folder structure using FTP client or File manager.
2) Create a folder on and Copy the contents to Google Drive. Or create a dropbox account
3) Right click on the root folder(my case, its named doityaar) and click on Get-Link

4) Copy the link and paste it in Notepad for editing. It should look something like this.
5) Copy the text after 'open?id=', thats the link to the folder. Highlighted in yellow below.
6) Change '' to ''
7) Suffix the text you copied from step # 5. Now your new link should look like below
    Thats the link to the folder you created
8) If you have subfolders under the orginal folder you created, you can reference with the actual        names of it. For example, if 'Foo' folder has 'Bar' folder, you just suffix 'Bar' to the link like below
 9) Open the .XML file in notepad or any text editor which was downloaded from Wordpress. Search for and replace it with the link you generated in Step # 8.
For example - Marked here is what i searched and replaced. should look like

10) Save the .XML file after replacing all the reference to URLs

Import your blog to Blogger
Wordpress and Blogger uses different formats to import and export so we would have to convert the exported Wordpress file to make it compatible with Blogger. Fortunately there is a tool to do this very step. Wordpress to Blogger conversion tool 

1) If you have done all the steps mentioned on this post, Jump to Step # 6 on that Wordpress to Blogger Tool
2) Click on Choose file and select the file you saved on Step # 10
3) Click on convert, this should take about a minute or less and a new file should be downloaded which is compatible with Blogger.
4) Go to your Blogger dashboard. Click on Settings > Other and Click on Import Blog
5) Select the file which was downloaded in Step # 3 in this section and click on Import Blog
6) That's it! You should see all your posts, pages imported to your Blogger.
